The Calc Clean signal appears after installing the AquaClean filter

Published on 07 March 2023
If the Calc Clean signal appears after installing your AquaClean Calc and Water filter, this can have several causes. Read below on how to resolve this.
The filter activation was not confirmed in the machine menu. After placing a filter in the water tank, the filter must always be confirmed in the machine menu. Descale the machine and then install a new AquaClean Calc and Water filter.

Confirm the filter activation in the machine menu:
  1. Select Menu,
  2. Then select AquaClean,
  3. Select ON and
  4. Confirm ON with “V” (ok), the filter symbol will appear on the display.
The newly placed AquaClean Water filter was not confirmed in the machine menu. After installing a new filter, the new filter always must be confirmed in the machine menu.

When the filter symbol shows “0%” and starts flashing fast, you need to replace it and activate the filter replacement in the machine menu. If the filter symbol disappears without you having replaced and activated the filter in the menu you first need to descale the machine before activating a new filter.

If your machine is compatible to experience the descaling benefits of the AquaClean Calc and Water filter, it will have a sticker of the AquaClean placed on the water tank.
