Your Philips Avent Premium 2-in-1 Warmer Sterilizer or Premium Fast Bottle Warmer is designed to heat milk or formula to the proper drinkable temperature quickly. This is particularly useful for late-night feeding or when your little one doesn't want to wait.
See the tables below for guidance on how long it takes to heat milk or formula, and some general guidelines.
How long does it take my bottle warmer to warm milk?
Heating liquid milk
When warming liquid milk, measure out the volume of milk to be heated and select the setting that corresponds to that volume.
The initial milk temperature affects the heating time. Choose the heating time from the column that best matches the temperature of your milk before heating.
The starting temperature of the water in the appliance also affects the warming time. Use fresh, room-temperature water for best results. If the appliance detects the water is too warm, it will slow the warming process to avoid overheating the milk.
Setting | Room temperature milk (23 °C/73 °F) | Refrigerated milk (5 °C/41 °F) |

Tips for using your warmer
- After heating, the milk may still feel cool to an adult. However, research suggests that most babies will accept milk that is cooler than body temperature.
- The timings provided above are guidelines only. The material, water, and milk temperature can all impact the warming time.
- These guidelines are based on the Philips Avent Natural polypropylene bottle. Be aware of the following differences for other types of bottles and containers:
- Glass may heat more quickly. Select a lower setting.
- Silicone bottles may heat more slowly. Leave them in the warmer for 3-4 more minutes after you hear the beeping sound telling you that warming is complete.
- Always check the milk temperature before each feeding.
