My Philips Fan’s base is wobbly or vibrating

If the bottom of your Philips Fan is unstable and vibrates, find possible causes and how to fix it below. Please note that all images are general representatives. There could be differences among different models.

The fan is not placed on a flat surface

Ensure you place your Philips Fan on a flat surface and that no foreign objects are beneath the appliance.

The Tower Fan is not assembled correctly

Your Philips Tower fan must be correctly assembled before first-time use.

Turn the appliance off and unplug it from the wall socket. Follow the steps below for the correct base assembly:

  1. Assemble the two pieces of the base part of the fan (see image 1).
  2. Loosen and remove the cap from the bottom of the appliance (see image 2).
  3. Put on the assembled base and tighten the cap back on the appliance (see image 3).

The Pedestal Fan is not assembled correctly

Your Philips Pedestal Fan must be correctly assembled before first-time use.

Turn off the appliance and unplug it from the wall socket, then follow the steps below depending on the model:

CX2550 and CX3550:

  1. Ensure the upper and lower pillars are securely fastened to each other.
  2. The whole pillar is fixed in the position.

 

ACP610, ACP62x, CX1210, CX1220, CX1510 and CX1520:

  1. Ensure the lower pillar and the base are securely assembled to each other, then fasten the base screw. The pillar height is adjustable, please fasten the knob on the pillar after adjusting.
  2. Place the upper pillar (motor) onto the lower pillar, then the turn the spinner on the upper pillar to fix the pillars to each other.
