Can I use another detergent with my Philips HomeRun 9000 or 5000 Series Robot?

To enhance the cleaning performance, you can add 10 ml (for the 9000 Series) or 1 ml (for the 5000 Series) of the Philips floor cleaner XV1493 detergent to the clean water tank of your robot. This precise amount will help maintain the performance and longevity of your product

Please only us the Philips floor cleaner XV1493 detergent, which is specially developed for our devices to ensure optimal performance and to extend its lifetime. 

The XV1493 is developed with a unique formula that protects the internal components of your product while delivering optimal cleaning results. Using alternative cleaning detergents may compromise and potentially damage the machine's interior components.  

Note: If you have used the wrong detergent, clean the robot and its wheels, including a thorough rinse of the water tank with fresh water.
